Filipino Education Fund

FPD has established FILIPINO EDUCATION FUND (formerly Filipino College Fund), a fund-drive initiative to finance the school expenses of scholars taking agriculture entrepreneurship programs. Out-of-school youth from rural areas and children of farmers are given a chance to acquire knowledge, attitude and skills to develop a career in the business of producing food.

Foundations for People Development (FPD) has partnered with individuals, groups and institutions to pursue the goal of developing a critical mass of young agriculture entrepreneurs. Notable of these are with:

  • Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) for a counter-part program funding of a ladderized program for out-of-school youth in agripreneurship;
  • MFI Foundation for the implementation of a ladderized curriculum in agripreneurship;
  • Palawan Agricultural Experiment Station of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-B for the housing and facilities support in the implementation of a ladderized curriculum in agripreneurship;
  • Catholic Ming Yuan College-Tech for the implementation of a ladderized curriculum in agripreneurship;
  • Philippine Federation of Family Farm and Rural Development Schools for the screening of incoming scholars to the agripreneurship program.

To make the impact of the Filipino Education Fund greater and reach more young people, FPD has also allied itself with other scholarship granting groups such as Sapientes Miletes Scholarship Foundation and the Philippine Federation of Family Farm and Rural Development Schools. The former provides scholarships to military officers for their graduate studies and dependents of military personnel for their college education. The latter provides scholarships for a unique high school education and now would like to provide their graduates a chance to enrol in college and post-secondary programs.

FPD welcomes everyone interested in sponsoring a student or a batch of students in any of these programs. Donations and grants could be sent online thorough its U-Share account. Other in-kind gifts could be coordinated through FPD’s project office (contact number - (+632) 921-4028).
